The Bluebristle Muujin is a huntable creature in Palia.

Description

Bluebristle Muujins are the magical variant of muujins and can be easily identified due to its white mane with blue bristles. While invisible, there will be a faint outline of the muujin with black and blue sparks.

Location

The Bluebristle Muujin can be found in Bahari Bay. If a Muujin runs up a flowtree, when the tree is cut down they will be transformed into a Bluebristle Muujin.

There is also a small chance for a Bluebristle Muujin to spawn in a Flow Tree Grove, anywhere around Bahari Bay in general.

Behavior

The Bluebristle Muujin will turn invisible as it runs towards a medium sized tree, which it will then scale and disappear.

Cutting down the tree will spawn one or more other Muujin, as well as the original Bluebristle Muujin.

Hunting

Bluebristle Muujins have 90 Health and require multiple hits with a fine arrow to be felled.

Dispel arrows are used to make the muujin stay visible, but this arrow can only work if the creature does not climb a tree. Once it gets back into hiding, the effect of the dispel arrow is reset and the muujin can use its invisibility again when it respawns.

Slowdown arrows can slow down its movements and track it temporarily with a mist, making it easier to target its figure.

A Hunter's Horn can also be used to easily track its current location on the ground, but it does not show which tree it is currently hiding.
