Belts are a Bug Catching tool used to deploy Smoke Bombs to catch Bugs. The type of bugs available to catch is determined by location and the Palia Time of day. Certain bugs have a chance to drop Silk and/or seeds for Flowers.

Recipes for upgrades can be purchased from the Bug Catching Guild Store run by  奧尼.
