Cooking is a skill in Palia which allows The Player to use different ingredients in the world to create dishes to consume, gift, or sell.

The Cooking Guild representative in Kilima Valley is  Reth.

Introduction

The Player initially receives the Campfire through the quest Cooking 101 while they learn the essentials of cooking.

Later on, the Player is able to purchase recipes from Reth to make additional cooking equipment:

• Prep Station
• Mixing Station
• Standard Oven

Before the Player can begin cooking in a kitchen, they will need to know recipes for cooking.

Recipes can be bought from Reth at his Guild Store, found throughout Kilima and Bahari, or even rewarded from some Quests.

Selecting types of ingredients.

To start cooking any recipe, interact with one of the cooking crafters using ( on Switch). This will bring up the interface displaying the list of available recipes at the station, with details on each one, including whether the player has enough materials in their Inventory or General Storage to make it.

After starting there will be a popup above the initial station with a time limit, and popups above each other station relating to the recipe that outline what needs to be completed for the process.

Multiplayer

If you are playing with others you can cook dishes together!

Every player interacting with a recipe in progress, by starting the recipe, adding ingredients, or performing cooking minigames, will receive the same quality and quantity of the finished dish. The only prerequisite to help is to be near the player starting the recipe.

Working together will also make dishes quicker, as individual parts of the recipe can be done simultaneously.

Weekly Challenges

Weekly Challenges are skill-related Accomplishments that a player can complete once weekly upon reaching Cucinare Level 10. A player can complete up to 3 Weekly Challenges for Cucinare each week, awarding a total of 100 Cooking Medals.

Weekly Challenges are currently the same every week, and reset every Monday at 4:00 AM UTC. Progress from uncompleted Challenges will carry over and count towards the following week.
