Galdur
“ | A Galdur is made knowing their Oneness. It's a fundamental part of who they are. | ” |
–Jina |
Galdurs are creatures created by humans a long time ago. They were utilized by humans for tasks ranging from fishing to running entire cities. Most Galdurs are created of natural materials and bound together by runes. When the runes are damaged, Galdurs may loose connectivity to their limbs, resulting in them becoming unusable or falling apart.
Galdurs can be bonded together in a relationship that Jina compares to twin siblings. The link is said to be constant across time, space, and realms, and incapable of being broken.[1]
Oneness
Galdurs spend their long lives focusing on their Oneness, the task they were created to do. Fulfilling this Oneness brings a Galdur joy, but the inability to fulfill the Oneness creates a strong longing. Galdurs who are unable to fulfill their Oneness may seek out adjacent tasks in an effort to suppress their longing.
Einar is considered unique among Galdurs for achieving Oneness through many things. He states this is both fortunate and unfortunate, as while he is fulfilling one Oneness, he still feels longing for the others.
The Garden
The Garden, also known as the Temple of the Roots, is where many Galdur were constructed until it was shut down and sealed by the Humans. Einar and Hekla were both created here.[2]
