Slimy! is a Found Item Quest received by fishing a Slimy Ball.

“ You fished out a toy ball from the river. It seems to belong to the village's resident Plumehound. ”

Walkthrough

Fish the Slimy Ball Slimy Ball from any Bahari Bay Rivers without using bait. Then chase down Hassian to ask him about the ball. Afterward, go talk to Chayne to see if he can clean it. Once the slimy ball is no longer slimy, give it to the bestest boy!

...Ahem! I mean, yes. That toy does seem familiar. It resembles the one Tau lost a few days ago.
You said you fished it out from the river? That is one of his preferred play areas.
It...is a bit dirty. Take it to the village healer, Chayne. He has what is required to properly clean it.

Can't I just clean it myself?

It's not even dirty.

Do you not see the clumps of algae and film all over it? A simple rinse will not be sufficient.
Besides, algae has its... uses. Only the healer knows how to harness them, though.

Ah, that ball looks familiar. I believe it is the one I gave Tau when he was just a pup.
I will never forget how ecstatic he was about it. He chased it around so ferociously that it fell into a chapaa burrow!
Being the adventurous and daring spirit he is, he dove straight into it. A family of angry chapaas spilled out, and, well, I'm sure you can imagine what happened next.

  • The item Slimy Ball turns into Tau's Ball Tau's Ball once it is clean after speaking to Chayne.
  • The ball may be retained in the player's inventory on completion of the quest.
  • There may be a possible inconsistency in the quest where the Player states to have fished the quest item from a lake and Hassian mentions a river. Players may be able to fish the quest item from a lake.
