Dialogue and Mail

Introduction

Upon speaking to Kenli at your plot

Kenli
Oh, goodie, you're here! I was afraid I'd miss you, so I've been waiting right in this spot until you got home!
Ahem! Perhaps you've seen members of our fair community slipping off somewhere in the middle of the night.
Or perhaps you've explored and stumbled on the grounds yourself! But I'd still like to formally invite you to visit the Maji Market!
It's a wonderful little marketplace we prop up once a week, every month. You can find all sorts of lovely goodies there, or even play some games!
Just head down to the Kilima Fairgrounds any time this week after hours!
And, er, if you see Eshe, please tell her how fun, and exciting, and enjoyable your time at the market was.

Progression

Upon speaking to Delaila

Delaila
Cakes, ice cream, and all sorts o' sweet treats, right here at Daiya Desserts!

Oh, hello there, dearie! Would you like a free sample? Made fresh just today!

Why, if it isn't (Player)! I was hopin' you'd stop by! I saved this tanghulu just for you, dearie!

Player
I've never said no to free food in my life.
Delaila
That's the spirit! Why, you'd break m'heart if you did!

Player
WHOO, FREE STUFF!
Delaila
Ha! Glad you're so excited about it, dearie.

Player
Thank you.
Delaila
Of course! After all, that's why I opened this booth in th' first place. To make sure Kilima was well fed!

Player
If you're sure...
Delaila
Of course I'm sure, dearie! This is for you!

If y'want more, I'll keep the booth freshly stocked. You know, joining the market was actually Auni's idea, if y'can believe it.
He noticed how stressed we were about makin' ends meet. He's even been helpin' prepare the ingredients at home!
I don't know what I did to deserve such perfect boys... but I sure won't look a gift riffroc in th'mouth!
You have fun at the rest of the market, now! I'd better get some more syrup ready, these things are flying off the shelves!
+ 1 Delaila's Tanghulu

Upon speaking to Hodari

Missing dialogue for Earth for romance level 3+.

Hodari
Good t'see you. Stoppin' by for anythin' specific?

Player
I'm checking out the booths.
Hodari
That so? Well, feel free t'check out our stock. Najuma's been hard at work on 'em.

Player
I came to see you!
Hodari
Always good t'see you, but the market's got more t'offer than I do. Why not check out the stock while you're here.

Here, take a firework on the house. Just make sure y'tell Najuma how much y'like 'em.

Hodari
Hey, darlin'. You come t'see me, or the fireworks?
...Was that cheesy?

Player
I'm checking out the booths.
Hodari
(TBA)

Player
I came to see you!
Hodari
Well, much as I love seeing you, darlin', it'd break Najuma's heart if y'didn't check out the fireworks she's made.
In fact, take one on the house. Just make sure y'tell Najuma how much y'like 'em.
After that, we cane make eyes at each other from across the market all y'want.

Upon speaking to Kenyatta

Kenyatta
Welcome to Chapaa Hut, home of the Chapaa Chompers. How can I assist you today?

Player
What are you doing here?
Kenyatta
Suffering.
My dad basically begged for me to help him out with this dumb cart, so here I am.

Player
Blink twice if you're being held hostage.
Kenyatta
Haha, very funny I've practiced getting out of ropes too much to get kidnapped. No, this is worse.
This is for my dad.

Player
You look adorable.
Kenyatta
Ugh, not you too. Seriously, Delaila called me cute earlier!
It's for my dad. He basically begged me.

When mother came up with the idea for this market, dad almost fell over himself in excitement. He's been talking about this booth for weeks.

Player
Why doesn't he run it himself?
Kenyatta
You kidding me? Have you met my dad?
Guess I'll just die from boredom seven times a month, every month, for the rest of my life.

Player
That was really sweet of you.
Kenyatta
Ugh, whatever.
Guess I'll just die from boredom seven times a month, every month, for the rest of my life.

Thanks for stopping by, (Player). Maybe if you come back and chat soon, I'll survive a little longer.
Here, take this monstrosity as thanks for chatting. I swear it's not melted, they just... all look like that.

Upon speaking to Najuma

Missing dialogue for Fire for friendship 1-2

Najuma
Um, hi.
My dad is handling the register, so if you wanna buy anything...

Player
What're you doing here?
Najuma
U-uhm. My dad is helping me s-sell some of my fireworks. J-just the smaller ones, though.

Player
Are those FIREWORKS?
Najuma
(TBA)

Player
You got any... special stock?
Najuma
W-what? N-no!
I mean... not on the sh-shelves, anyways. Dad would be f-furious.

Player
I didn't realize you'd have a booth here.
Najuma
Y-yeah, me neither... but I d-designed all these fireworks myself so...
Dad s-said he'd help me. E-even if he wouldn't let me stock any of the FUN ones...

A-anyways, you can check out the stock at the register. I'd better get back to restocking...

Najuma
Hi! Um, did you come to check out our booth?
Dad's handling the register, but I can probably help you out too...

Player
What're you doing here?
Najuma
I made all these fireworks. Dad was seriously grumpy about it, but I promised him they were all safe.
Well, as long as you don't, like, shove them up your nose or something.
Thanks for stopping by, (Player). M-maybe I'll have some new stock if you drop by later...
Just don't tell Dad, okay?

Player
Are those FIREWORKS?
Najuma
Y-yeah! I designed these ones myself! But they're only the "safe" stock.
Dad wouldn't let me include any of the experimental ones...
Thanks for stopping by, (Player). M-maybe I'll have some new stock if you drop by later...
Just don't tell dad, okay?

Player
You got any... special stock?
Najuma
He wouldn't let me stock any of the cool big ones. Even though I stayed up ALL night designing the last one.
You singe your eyebrows off once and suddenly you're 't-toying with dangerous chemicals'.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, (Player). M-maybe I'll have some new stock if you drop by later...
Just don't tell dad, okay?

Player
I didn't realize you'd have a booth here.
Najuma
Yeah, I don't usually come into the village much. And this place is pretty crowded...
But dad said he'd help me sell my fireworks, so. I figure if I get overwhelmed I can just hide behind the booth.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, (Player). M-maybe I'll have some new stock if you drop by later...
Just don't tell dad, okay?

Upon speaking to Reth

Missing dialogue for Fire in Friendship Level 5 (Romance 0-2).

Reth
Hey! Come to check out my booth, or me?
It's okay if the answer is both, I get that a lot.

Player
Aren't you usually busy at night?
Reth
Who, me? Nope, my nights are wide open. I've got plenty of time to do this on top of everything else! Really. I'm not sleep deprived at all.
Here, take a free sample. After you taste it, you'll come running back to me for more. And I'll have to be like, "150 tickets please".

Player
What are you selling?
Reth
Oh, you know, all sorts of things. Well, if by "all sorts" you mean "mostly edible".
I wouldn't suggest trying to eat the basket, though. And the lantern LOOKS edible, but it's definitely not.
Trust me.

Surprisingly little. And it isn't all soup, either. I know, I know. I'm breaking my own stereotypes.
Look, between you and me, I tried to figure out lettuce ice cream, but Tish took the spoon out of my hand before I could make it work.
Anyways, want a free sample? Uh, not of the lettuce ice cream.
After you taste THIS, you'll come running back to me for more. And I'll have to be like, "150 tickets please".

Player
How's business going?
Reth
Not bad, actually. After all, who can resist my handsome face and sales pitch? They'd be fools!

Upon speaking to Zeki

Zeki
Hey, pal. Sick of all those other booths and decided to come see where the real stock was, huh?
Can't say I blame you. Zeki's always got the best. Why don't you check it out? Maybe I can cut you a deal.

Player
What, no free samples?
Zeki
Ha! You have some real guts, I'll give you that. Just walk up to a store and ask for somethin' free.
Lucky for you, I'm a real generous cat, and I respect the gumption.
Here, made with my very own paws. Just like ma used to make when I was just a little kitten.
While you're eatin' it, why don't you go check out those claw machines over there? Y'might get something special!
You can get the tokens for 'em by shoppin' around the market and spending tickets.

Player
What are you selling?
Zeki
All sorts! I got the register here for taiyaki and wallpapers, but I also set up those little claw machines in the corner. Why don't you check 'em out?
You can get the tokens for 'em by shoppin' around the market and spending tickets.
And as thanks for stoppin' by, I'll even toss in a free sample.
Here, made with my very own paws. Just like ma used to make when I was just a little kitten.
