The Maji Market is a series of events that take place in the Fairgrounds, accessed in the Southeast corner of Kilima Valley.
Summary
The Maji Market takes place at the Kilima Village Fairgrounds, which is open exclusively from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Palia time. It’s a space to gather with people of all ages, grab sweet and savory foods, listen to music, and watch the fireworks show together.
You’ll be able to unlock the mini-area within Kilima Village, then explore for new quests, earn prizes, and collect all of the goodies every merchant has to offer. While you’re there, be sure to snap all of the photo ops, chase some chapaas, and find a surprise or two (depending on the drum beat 😉).
In the world of Palia, night markets take place all over, at various times of the year, with different cultural sights and activities unique to their respective regions. In the days when Kilima was a bustling trade hub, the village hosted night markets that were larger than life, such as the ones seen in Bahari City!
While some activities and vendors are mainstays, different events will bring with them their own unique touches to dazzle visitors, young and old alike.
The market's name derives from Maji, the dragon god of the Majiri. It is said that Maji observes the celebrations from the comfort of his own realm. Some even believe he assumes different physical forms to partake in the events himself, to bless them with good fortune. That is why it is common for Maji Markets to carry items bearing his semblance. Perhaps seeing himself reflected in festive objects fills him with much Oneness.[1]
Activities
Chapaa Chase
During this cooperative minigame, Players race to capture randomly appearing chapaas and return them to the pen to earn tickets. This time-limited game is active from 12:10 a.m. to 2:10 a.m. Palia time.
Gather your friends and party-up to snap some pics at all the best photo op locations… you might find a totally normal Human Standee… minding its own business… probably doing big business…
Pop-A-Chapaa
During this cooperative minigame, Players work together to shoot chapaa balloons and earn tickets! This time-limited game is active from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. Palia time.
Each iteration of the Maji Market brings in new quests and villager interactions. Make sure to talk to everyone at the market, not all the villagers are able to make it every time.
Stamp Cards
By participating in the event, Players can complete Stamp Cards for exclusive rewards and tickets. These refresh during every iteration of the Market.
Starting in Build 0.184, the format of the Maji Market changed so that it appears at the Fairgrounds every 4 weeks. However, this schedule may be interrupted by other events (such as Luna New Year). Below is a table of future dates for the monthly Maji Market!

I logged in, but I don’t see Maji Market!
While you’re able to visit the Maji Market at any time, the festivities are only available from 6pm to 3am Palia time. That is the best time to enjoy some of our favorite rewards, but the fairgrounds will be available around the clock to hang out and fish.🎣
Will there be even more events in Palia in the future?
The devs at Singularity 6 love a good event, and do hope to add more in the future! We will be drawing inspiration from holidays all across our own world while also coming up with ones that are uniquely Palian.
Oh no, I can’t attend this month! Will Maji Market be back?
If you have to miss Maji Market, don’t be sad! Everything you can get from Maji Market will be available the next time the Market rolls around. And don't worry, your Stamp Card progress, collection, and accomplishments will carry over month to month! So if Maji Market wraps before you complete an achievement, you can pick up right where you left off next month.
I experienced a quest bug on the event, what should I do?
More Chapaas now spawn at the beginning of the mini-game.
50% more Chapaas now spawn per wave, and with 20% more frequency.
Increased the size of the spawn zones, and added more of them.
Added 1 additional Chapaa Chase ticket for every Chapaa rescued per each player actively chasing Chapaas during that session. So if a whole group captures 100 total Chapaas, each player who captures at least 1 will get 100 extra tickets.
Based on these changes, we’re now able to catch around 300 Chapaas per night during each round.
Stamp Card Improvements
When in a party, we lowered the Chapaa Chasers Party and Chapaa Champions Party requirements so that more people can obtain the accomplishments.
Chapaa Chase Store Updates
Added a new Maji the Dragon (water themed) plushie to the Chapaa Chase ticket store.
Taiyaki cannot be bought from Zeki's Lucky Catch.
