Villager Keys

Villager Keys are special items received from Villagers upon reaching Friendship level 3. Some are obtained immediately upon triggering that villager's Level 3 Friendship Quest, while others are obtained during, or upon completion of the quest.

Each key unlocks a location specific to the villager who gifted it. After receiving a villager's key, the player can access the associated location at any time, even while the villager is sleeping inside. The villager will always be awake and available to speak to the player when they are present inside the unlocked location.

The villager keys are special items and will never appear as physical items in the player's inventory, but will trigger an alert as having been received when the player receives them. The Player can open the Relationships Tab of their inventory to see a list of villagers and whether their keys have been unlocked.

Notes

• While players who have received the key to a location may enter that location at any time, other players who have not yet received the key themself will be unable to access it, even if they are in a Party with someone who does possess a key.
• You can speak to the villager while standing outside of the room. This however can cause a bug to appear and leave you with a blank dialogue.^{[citation needed]}
