Cover It Up is a Romance Quest given by Reth upon reaching Romance Level 3: Dangerous Dalliance.

Description

“ Sometimes, honesty isn't the pest policy. Help Reth hide his criminal misdeeds from Ashura by picking up his shipments. ”

Objectives

Part 1

  • Pick up the first shipment.
  • Pick up the second shipment.
  • Pick up the third shipment.

Part 2

You've got Reth's sketchy shipments. Time to hide them where no one will find them...Bahari Bay.

Part 3

Now that you've helped Reth commit crime, it's time to follow up.

↷ Return to your plot and wait for Reth.

Part 4

Ashura confronted you about helping Reth with his extracurriculars. Check on Reth to see how he's [sic] is feeling.

↷ Go check on Reth in the storeroom.

Walkthrough

Drop-off location for Reth's shipments.
  1. Upon reaching Romance level 3 with Reth, speak to him at your housing plot. Select the first option, "I'll help you move the merchandise," to trigger this branch of the quest.
  2. Then, go to Reth's Storeroom to collect three shipments of Illicit Goods. These can be found near and in the hallway leading to the deadend doorway, immediately left when entering the storeroom.
  3. Deliver the goods to a hidden alcove in Bahari Bay, beyond a semi-hidden mine entrance in the cliff wall between Hideaway Bluffs and the Windy Ruins.
  4. Return to your plot and trigger a conversation with Ashura, then go and speak to Reth.

Introduction

Upon speaking with Reth after reaching Romance level 3

Reth
Hey, fancy pants/sweet tooth! Nice place you got here. Very good for hiding illicit merchandise.
Boy am I glad to see you right now. Can I just stand here and look at you for a while? It'll make me feel better.
Player
Look your fill.
Reth
You always know exactly what I need, fancy pants/sweet tooth. This is why you're my favorite person.
Whew. Okay, crisis averted.

Can't talk about it right now. Still looking.

Ashura's watching my every move right now, so I need you to grab the merchandise from the storeroom and hide it for me. Somewhere out in the bay, so no once can accidentally stumble on them.

Please don't give me that. It's pretty obvious what happened- that, and Hodari mentioned he saw you sneaking around in the bay.
Did you think if you hid everything from me, I wouldn't find out?

How'd you find out?
Ashura
It was pretty obvious. Reth might be good at lying to others- but I know his tells. The lad's poker face is worse than Auni's.
He didn't give you up, of course. I had to ask around for that.
Next time you hide things in the bay, make sure no one sees you.
Player
I was just helping Reth out.
Ashura
You think this is helping him?
*sigh* Look. Reth can spend the rest of his life running away, lying to anyone who might care about him.
But I've seen the way he looks at you- and talks about you. He'd hang the moon if you asked him to.

Player
It's none of your business, anyways.
Ashura
No, maybe it isn't. But I care about Reth. Something tells me you do, too.

So, I may or may not have been practicing my chocolate making skills, and I may or may not have gone a little overboard. Then I thought, hey, you know who might like way too much chocolate?
