The Ancient Fish can only be caught after completing all Vault of the Waves bundles, and simultaneously completing the Something's in the Water accomplishment.
Note: there have been reports from players that the Ancient Fish has been caught before completing these bundles, but after speaking to Эйнар about lifting the lockdown.

Ancient Fish is more attracted to Glow Worms, and can be caught in Kilima Lake and in the Temple of the Waves in Долина Килима, at any time of day.

Ancient Fish can also be caught at the Fairgrounds, when an event is active.
