Gold

Gold is the most basic currency of Palia. It is the primary means of obtaining items, upgrades, and moving quickly from one place to another.

The amount of gold the Player can retain is capped at Gold 999,999 Gold.

Gold cannot be traded, gifted or otherwise shared with other Players, and does not take up any space in storage.

Tracking Gold

Gold is not a physical item, so the amount of gold The Player has accrued is tracked in the Player's Inventory. It can also be viewed in General Storage, Safe Storage, and at any of the Stores.

Earning Gold

Gold is primarily obtained from selling eligible items to certain shops in and around Kilima Village or through the Shipping Bin located on the Player's Housing Plot.

Gold can also be acquired by completing Quests, and by looting Treasure Chests found throughout Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay.

For more information, see Guide:Making Money.

Other means of obtaining Gold can include limited-time activities such as Zeki's Prize Wheel at Luna New Year that can sometimes award gold as a prize.

Spending Gold

Gold is the primary means of obtaining Backpacks, Storage Chests and upgrades, Wallpaper, Flooring, and certain Cooking recipes. Gold can also be used to purchase certain materials and Customization items that could alternatively be obtained by the Player using their Skills.

While Tools can be repaired using Repair Kits, the Player can opt to spend gold instead when making repairs at the Blacksmith.

Fast Travel is another expense that requires gold and allows the Player to travel from one designated location to another in the blink of an eye.
