The Azure Stonehopper is a Rare bug in Palia.


Description

“ This little blue beauty has been known to camouflage itself as a shiny blue pebble. ”

Although their in-game descriptions say they are blue (and despite the name), they are better described as violet. Azure Stonehoppers are also slightly larger than the nearby Common Field Crickets, making them fairly easy to tell apart.

Bug Catching

Location

Azure Stonehoppers can be found around the fields and mountains of south Bahari Bay, including Pulsewater Plains, Hideaway Bluffs, and outside Pavel Mines at any time of day. Azure Stonehoppers spawn naturally and can be seen hopping along the ground.

Behavior

Azure Stonehoppers are alerted by nearby players and Standard Smoke Bombs, hopping away a short distance before briefly pausing. This pause gives the player opportunity to throw another Smoke Bomb.

Drops

In addition to the bug, Azure Stonehopper grants 0 - 7 Silk Thread when caught.

Because they can be found all day, are easy to spot, and are one of the easiest Rare bugs to catch, they are also considered one of the most reliable sources to obtain Silk Thread.

Notes

Starred versions of this bug can be placed as a decor.
