How to Obtain

Bug Catching

Silk Thread can be obtained by catching Any Rare Bug and Any Epic Bug throughout Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay.

• Rare bugs grant between 0 - 7 Silk Thread.
• Epic bugs grant between 0 - 14 Silk Thread.

Notes

• Star Quality bugs do not give any additional Silk Thread, nor do they have a higher chance of granting it.

Recommended bugs to farm for Silk Thread:

Azure Stonehopper	All Day Rare	Bahari Fields	Their purple body makes it stand out against the grass. Easy to catch due to it briefly pausing after it hops.
Firebreathing Dragonfly	All Day Rare	Kilima Fields	Their bright red body and orange wings stand out. Easy to catch due to it pausing for several seconds after it dashes.
Leafstalker Mantis	All Day Rare	Bahari Forest	They have a chance to spawn when Foraging Sweet Leaf and Dari Cloves. Easy to catch due to it pausing after it hops.
Scintillating Centipede	All Day Rare	Bahari Fields Bahari Forest Caves	They have a chance to spawn when Mining any size rock or node. Can be difficult to catch as it is quite fast.
Vampire Crab	Evening and Night (6:00 PM - 3:00 AM) Rare	Flooded Fortress	They can be differentiated from regular Bahari Crabs by their black shells and bright red appendages. Can be difficult to catch as it is quite fast.
