Location

Silk Thread can be found by catching Rare and Epic Bugs throughout Palia.

Obtaining

Silk Thread is a secondary drop when catching bugs. The rarity of the bug affects the amount of Silk Thread received:

  • Rare bugs grant between 0 - 7 Silk Thread.
  • Epic bugs grant between 0 - 14 Silk Thread.

SQ.pngStar Quality bugs do not give any additional Silk Thread, nor do they have a higher chance of granting it.

Scintillating Centipede.png Scintillating Centipede Rare Bahari Bay Any Time 10% chance to spawn when Mining any size rock or node. Can be difficult to catch as it is quite fast.
Stripeshell Snails.png Stripeshell Snail Rare Bahari Bay Evening and Night (6:00pm- 3:00am) They can spawn both on land and underwater.
Vampire Crab.png Vampire Crab Rare Bahari Bay - beaches surrounding the Flooded Fortress Evening and Night (6:00pm- 3:00am) They can be differentiated from regular Bahari Crabs by their black shells and bright red appendages.
