Errands for Reth is a Friendship Quest given by Ashura on behalf of Reth upon reaching Reth's Friendship Level 2: A Bit of Intrigue.

Objectives

Part 1

• Tell Reth Ashura's looking for him.

Part 2

Help Reth run a few small errands. You just need to deliver food to Eshe, then pick up supplies from Hassian and Nai'o. Easy, right?

• Deliver food to Eshe.
• Pick up the pickles from Nai'o.
• Pick up the meat from Hassian.

Part 3

You've completed all of Reth's chores. It's time to let Ashura know. Only one question remains: to tattle, or not to tattle?

• Deliver the goods to Ashura.

Walkthrough

1. Ashura is looking for Reth. Seems he's been slacking his chores. Find Reth for Ashura.
   • If you're having trouble finding Reth, try looking in The Underground.
2. Reth would like your help with the chores to be able to spend some quality time with his sister, Tish.
3. Deliver food to Eshe, collect Daiya Pickles from Nai'o, and collect meat from Hassian.
4. Return the supplies to Ashura, and either cover for Reth or tell the truth.

Ashura

Good to see you again. Look, I don't meant to bother you, but...

Have you seen Reth around anywhere?

Player

Nope, haven't seen him.

Ashura

I didn't think so. He's always on the move.

Ashura

I know it's been rough for him, taking care of his sister like that.

Player

Probably out causing trouble.

Ashura

I sure hope not...

The lad's got a good head on his shoulders. Sometimes he just... misuses it.

Not like his sister.

Player

His sister?

Ashura

Tish. I know, you wouldn't think it looking at them. But Reth's a good lad. Always looking out for his sister, even when...

Ah, that's none of my business. Why don't you ask Reth about it?

And tell him I'm looking for him while you're at it. Got a list of chores a mile long for him.

What else is new? I'm just a pile of disappointments. It's part of my bad-boy charm.

But, uh... you wanna be more specific?

Player

Ashura had some chores for you.

Reth

Oh. Yeah, I might have had a few things I was putting off...

I've just been really busy, lately. Tish asked me to help her with her next project.

Spoiler alert: it's furniture. That's kind of her thing.

Player

I hadn't realized Tish was your sister.

Reth

Yeah, well, not a lot of people do. We don't really have that much in common.

Player

Tish is lucky to have a brother like you.

Reth

Not really, but I do what I can to help.

After all, Tish can whittle a stick into two ormuus doing the waltz and I...

...can whittle a stick into a slightly smaller stick.

She's done our parents proud by continuing on their Path. The least I can do is help her out when she asks.

But I guess I better go handle Ashura's chores instead.

After that, I need you to pick up some things from Nai'o at the farm.

And after that, you'll need to grab the daily meat supply for the inn from Hassian.

Ever since my chef Enzo quit, I have been struggling to find edible food in this town. And now, what little food I can get is delivered freezing cold?

This is what happens when you stray from your Path. That boy should have stayed a carpenter.

Player

Because he stole your muscles?

Nai'o

No, it's okay, Nai'o. Calm down. All your muscles are still there.

Though... why are you here instead of him? Are you doing his job for him now?

Player

Yup.

Nai'o

Oh. I mean, as long as you're okay with it.

But you should watch your back with him, okay?

Player

Nai'o

That's just like him! He's always tricking me too. I hate talking to that guy.

Player

Hassian

Do you have a problem with Reth?

Hassian

A problem? I don't think about him enough to have a problem with him.

...It's one thing to betray everything your parents set up for your future, and another to *flaunt* it.

He wears it like a badge of honor, when it is a mark of shame to stray from your Path.

But I wouldn't expect a Human like you to understand.

Still. You are doing his job for him, and I suppose that should be rewarded. Here.

• The contents of Reth's letter will depend on earlier choices. The first paragraph will vary based which option you chose in Ashura's last dialogue. The last paragraph and reward will depend on which nickname Reth calls you.

I know it seemed like I was just messing around, but Tish means a lot to me, and since I took that job with Ashura, I haven't had a lot of time to spend with her. She's the last bit of family I have, and I, uh, I don't want to get too sappy on you, but it meant a lot that you'd let me have some time for her.

I remembered you like the finer things in life, so I baked you this shmancy truffle tart to say "thanks." And don't worry, it's 100% lettuce free.
