Guide:Loading Screen

The Loading Screen is a great source of hints and tips for new players. Each time the player travels to a new Map location while exploring the open world of Palia, visits their Housing Plot, or triggers similar transitions, a loading screen will appear for a short time, with a hint or tip written at the bottom of that image. Below is a listing of those messages grouped by category.

General

Title	Description
A Bigger Bag	Inventory filling fast? Check Zeki’s General Store for a new bag!
Focus	Keep your focus bar full for maximum benefits!
Improved Focus	Not enough focus? Commune with a shrine!
Hungry?	Eat to gain Focus! Use any meal in your inventory or action bar.
Need Gold?	Palia is a world of abundance. You can sell extra items via the shipping bin.
Glider	Open the wardrobe to change your glider skin!
Shipping Bin	Twice a sun cycle, your shipping bin will be picked up with the mail.
Safety Tools	Check the Social Menu for player tools to keep your home safe and comfortable.

Social

Title	Description
Welcome to Palia!	Everyone is new at some point! Let's work together to welcome new players.
Ask for Help	Don't hesitate to ask for help! All questions are good questions.
A Place for All	Palia is everyone's home. Let's build a welcoming, inclusive place together.
Emotes	Select the Edit button in the Emote Wheel to edit your quick Emotes.
Emotes	Use Emotes to quickly communicate with other players!
Parties	You can view your party members' locations on the Map!
Parties	Play together! Invite players to join your party with the Social Panel.
Team Up!	Everyone gets the same rewards from activities, so be sure to team up!
Play Together	When playing with friends, everyone will get rewards!
Add Friends	Add new Friends in the Social Panel!
Message	Directly message your Friends by selecting "Whisper" in Chat.

Villagers

Title	Description
Gifting	Many items can be gifted. Mix it up to find your neighbors’ favorites!
Looking for Love?	If you're good friends, give a villager some chocolates. Maybe love will bloom!
Villagers	Build friendship with villagers to learn more about Palia.
Shiny Pebbles	Too many shiny pebbles? A friendly fisherman things they're the perfect present!

Skills

Title	Description
Fishing Bait	Try adding bait (like a juicy worm) to your rod and see what you can catch!
Fishing Rods	Check Einar's Fishing Guild Store for fishing rod accessories!
Friendly Fishing	Fishing near others gives everyone a boost! Everything's more fun with friends!
Fishing	Tons of fish live in Palia! But some only swim in certain waters.
Fishing	There's tons of fish in Palia! But some only bite at certain times.
Crops	Your garden can support all kinds of plants! Have you grown them all?
Companion Planting	Planting different crops next to each other may give additional benefits.
Lookin' Good!	Decorate your home with star quality fish, insects and even food!
Shopping	Some materials, like cooking ingredients, can be purchased at shops.
Lockbox	Items put in a lockbox won't ever be pulled out for cooking or crafting.

Exploration

Title	Description
Night Creatures	Some Palian Creatures are nocturnal, you will only see them out at night!
Times of Day	Visit locations at different times. You'll discover new flora and fauna!
Secrets...	Explore everywhere! You're sure to to[sic] uncover some secret areas...
Waypoints	Placing waypoints on the map also pins them to your compass.

Player

Title	Description
Safety	Someone make you uncomfortable? You can mute or block them by name.
Take a Break	It's okay to take a break whenever you need! We'll still be here.
Motion Sickness	Feeling queasy? Change Motion Sickness settings in the Settings menu!
Hydrate	Feeling thirsty? Remember to take water breaks as you play!
