Upon speaking to Eshe between 6PM and 3AM

Player
I'm ready for the ceremony.
Eshe
Very well. Follow me.

Shepp Dialogues

Information Needed. Missing full dialogue for Badruu, Chayne, Delaila, Einar, Hassian, Jel, Nai'o, Sifuu. Missing partial dialogue for Ashura, Caleri, Elouisa, Hodari, Jina, Kenli, Kenyatta, Reth, Tamala, Tish, Zeki.

Ashura
Looks like your big day’s finally here.
How are you feeling? Not too nervous, I hope.

Player
Just a little.
Ashura
It’s alright. That’s normal.

Player
Not at all!
Ashura
Now that's what I want to hear!

Plenty of us were in your shoes once. Just know you rightfully earned your place here in our community.
Go on and make memories that’ll last you a lifetime.
Oh, and when you’re ready, talk to Eshe. We’ve got a little something for you.

Caleri
You've worked hard to reach this place. Not that I'm surprised to see it.
Tonight's occasion is an important one... perhaps the most important one for anyone who hopes to make a place for themselves in Kilima Village.
You have dedicated yourself to the preservation of sacred tomes and have aided others in their pursuit of knowledge and truth... me included.
You demonstrate everything it means to be of our village.

Player
I couldn't have done it without you.
Caleri
Yes, well. Ahem! A student is only as good as their teacher, after all.
I am proud to sponsor you. Together, we will do great things.
Now, enjoy the evening's festivities. It's what any proper Palian would do.
Oh, and when you're ready, go speak to Eshe.

Player
And you doubted me.
Caleri
[missing]

If you return to Caleri later:

Caleri
I swear Elouisa's up to something. I saw her trying to break into the kitchen earlier...

Elouisa
The person of the hour has arrived, and just look at you!
Why, for a moment there, I almost thought you were a Lucky Lighthopper!

Player
A what now?
Elouisa
Oh, do not be silly, Player. They are beings made of pure light. They can not open doors!

Player
Maybe I am.
Elouisa
[missing]

If feels like just days ago, you emerged from your burrow in the ground, eager for your first breath of Kiliman air.
How time has flown since then, and how many secrets we now share...
I could not have asked for a better partner. Stay curious, Player, whatever you do.
Kilima needs you in it.
Oh! Before I forget, I believe Eshe requested your presence when you are done here.

If you return to Elouisa later:

Elouisa
Hmmm... I sense a mystery afoot with this locked door. What do you think they keep down there?

Hodari
Was wondering when you'd show up. Thought I'd have to stand here all night.
...S'a lotta fuss for a ceremony.

Player
You don't think I'm worth the fuss?.
Hodari
[missing]

Player
I could make it louder.
Hodari
[missing]

Player
I know. I'd rather be at home.
Hodari
[missing]

Player
I love it!
Hodari
Long as you're having a good time, I'm having a good time.
Anyways, I'm here if you need me. When you're ready, you should talk to Eshe and get this thing properly started.

If you return to Hodari later:

Hodari
Don't worry, I ain't going anywhere. Unless you're comin' with.

Jina
Player, you made it! Right on time, too!
I can't believe your big day is finally here. It feels like just yesterday you floated down in a pink cloud before my eyes.
So much has happened since then, hasn't it?

Player
We've gotten a lot closer.
Jina
[missing]

Player
We've made lots of discoveries together.
Jina
Yes, we really have. I don't think I'd have gotten half as far if not for you.

And um... thanks for believing in me as much as I believe in you, (Player). As someone who's been with you since day one, it means a lot.
Oh! I almost forgot. Eshe says you should talk to her when you're ready for the next part of the ceremony.

If you return to Jina later:

Jina
Does my hair look ok? I spent three hours doing it, then decided I hated it and spent three more hours undoing it...

Kenli
Oh goodie, you're here!
When I told Eshe I was going to be acting as your Shepp, why she nearly lost her hat!
Er...you did mean to ask me, correct? Not Eshe?

Player
Of course I did.
Kenli
Yes, yes, of course you did! After all, who better to have on your side than the mayor himself!

Player
Was she an option?
Kenli
[missing]

I made sure we used only the best balloons. I picked them out myself, I'll have to know. Eshe said it was a very important task.
Speaking of my terrifying wife, I believe she wishes to speak with you next.

If you return to Kenli later:

Kenli
Good luck!

Kenyatta
Glad you made it. Thought you mighta skipped out for a second there.
Party's not bad. Better than whatever my mom has planned for my ceremony, that's for sure.
I'd say I'm jealous, but you're the one that has to go talk to my mom next, so I'm not.

Player
I can handle her.
Kenyatta
[missing]

Player
You're definitely jealous.
Kenyatta
Only that everyone else is taking up your time. I wanted to hang.

Hey, how about after this is over we steal some of those fireworks and set them off in the middle of town?
Now that would be a party.

Reth
They grow up so fast... It feels like just yesterday you were descending from the swirling pink void to grace us with your presence.
I'm not crying, I've just got some soup in my eye. Really.
Seriously, though. I thought you were messing with me when you asked me to be your Shepp.
Not a lot of people would take the time to give me a chance.
Hope you don't regret it!

Player
I already do.
Reth
Haha, too bad! No takesies backsies! You're stuck with me!

Player
Oh, you're not so bad.
Reth
(TBA)

Player
Why would I regret it?
Reth
(TBA)

Player
No way!
Reth
I should really learn to stop doubting you, huh? But I probably won't! Blame my debilitating insecurity!

Anyways, you should go enjoy the festivities. And if it gets too loud, I promise to stand still so you can hide behind me.

If you return to Reth later:

Reth
...I really am glad you asked me, (Player). Really.

Tamala
Well, if it isn't my darling companion.
I was getting tired of waiting for you to show your face.

Player
Good to see you too, Tamala.
Tamala
I would certainly hope so. The trip here from my boudoir was no short one.
I don't come to town for just anyone, (Player).
You should be honored.

Player
Sorry to keep you waiting.
Tamala
[missing]

Oh, you should have seen Eshe's face when I arrived earlier, darling! It was adorable.
I suppose it's only normal to feel threatened by me. I feel for her, really.
In any case, she's waiting for you over by the fountain. I'm sure you know the way.

Tish
I'm so glad you're here! We were all waiting for you, but me most of all!
I spent AGES getting ready this morning just to distract myself from the excitement!
So, how are you feeling?

Player
Relaxed.
Tish
[missing]

Player
Hungry.
Tish
Same. My stomach hasn't stopped growling since I saw that steaming platter of chapaa masala.

Player
Excited!
Tish
[missing]

Player
Nervous...
Tish
[missing]

Oh, I wanted to be the first to say it, so... Congratulations, (Player).
The amount you've accomplished since moving to Kilima Village is just incredible.
I couldn't be prouder to be your Shepp!
Oh, Eshe wanted you to come talk to her when you're ready. She's over by the fountain!

If you return to Tish later:

Tish
I'm glad Reth showed up tonight, too. It's so rare I get to spend any time with him these days.

Zeki
A second later, and we would've gone on without ya! Just kidding. Maybe.
If I were you, I'd take full advantage of this situation to make off with a full platter of grub. Maybe two.
As your Shepp, I'm givin' ya full permission to. If anybody asks, remind 'em who this party's for!

If you return to Zeki later:

Zeki
Hoo, wish I coulda seen the look on Eshe's face when you told her I was your Shepp.

Non-Shepp Villager Dialogues

Auni
Oh, hey!! Isn't this place HUUUUUGE?
Eshe never lets kids in here, 'cept for ceremonies like this.

Player
It's a little... extravagant.
Auni
Yeah, but if I had this much space, imagine how many bugs I could display!

Player
My house is bigger.
Auni
Maybe you should throw the next party!

Player
Good place to play hide and seek.
Auni
I've scoped out like five awesome hiding spots already.

Player
Wish I lived here!
Auni
Really? I think your place is even cooler. AND you let me come over whenever I want!

Anyways, I hope you have fun tonight! Eat 'til you're stuffed!

If you return to Auni later:

Auni
I wonder if they actually use all these... it's a lotta cups for three people.

Ashura
There's the Human of the hour! Good to see you!
Drinks are on the inn tonight, don't you worry. You just focus on enjoying yourself.
It's been a long time since we've had a real chance to celebrate.

Player
What's in the kegs?
Ashura
The one on the left's got our special ormuu Brew, made with local lake lotus petals.
And on our right we've got blueberry juice, fresh from the farm thanks to Badruu.

Player
Are you working tonight?
Ashura
Guess I sort of fell into the habit, huh? Don't worry, (Player), I'll make sure to take it easy.

You have yourself a good time, alright? You've earned it. I'm proud of you.

If you return to Ashura later:

Ashura
Transporting kegs is a team effort. We have Sifuu, Hassian, Nai'o and Reth to thank for tonight's drinks.

Badruu
Whew, you've really impressed some folks!
This is one of the best Acceptance Ceremonies I've been to. You got the whole town to turn out for you!
You could say you're a big DILL!
And don't tell Delaila, but the food's ALMOST as good as what she makes.

Player
HEY DELAILA-
Badruu
Pecking pekis!!! What're you doing, Player?!?! I said ALMOST! Nothing can beet my Delaila!

Player
Your secret is safe with me.
Badruu
Thanks, Player, you BROC.
Get it? Like broccoli- heh heh I crack myself up. BROC!

If you return to Badruu later:

Badruu
If you'll PEAS excuse me, I'm going to help myself to seconds!

Caleri
You're on time. Good.
How are you finding everything?

Player
It's nice talking to everyone!
Caleri
It’s good to know you care about your standing with your fellow villagers. You will be sharing a home with them, after all.

Player
Food's good.
Caleri
Just make sure you finish chewing BEFORE opening your mouth.

Player
It's a bit overwhelming...
Caleri
Yes, well. I don't usually find myself in such lively places either.
But I suppose one must learn how to let one's hair down once in a while.

Player
I just want to get to the good part.
Caleri
Hmphf. Good things come to those who wait, (Player). I suggest you try a little patience.

I won't monopolize any more of your time. I expect I will be seeing you around a lot more, now.
Congratulations.

If you return to Caleri later:

Caleri
Hm... I don't remember lending that one out to the Bahari family...

Chayne
Hello, Phoenix's child. I hope you are enjoying your ceremony thus far.
I was present at the ceremonies of many of tonight's guests. I remember Sifuu's quite vividly, as I was her Shepp.
Believe it or not, by the end of the night, even Eshe herself could not help but dance and sing with everyone else.

Player
What? No way!
Chayne
Indeed. I was rather taken aback myself. Occasions like these tend to bring out unexpected sides of people.

Player
Oh, this is good.
Chayne
I would encourage you to ask her for more information yourself, but I don't think she would be very inclined to share.

In any case, perhaps we might see a repeat tonight. I do hope you enjoy yourself.

If you return to Chayne later:

Chayne
Hassian has refused to leave the gazebo. Perhaps I will bring him some snacks.

Delaila
Oh! Why hello there, dearie!
Isn't this atmosphere just lovely?
It's so nice gettin' everyone together like this. It reminds me of me and Badruu's wedding.
Our families surprised us with a grand party just like this one. We sang and danced and laughed all night. I couldn't have asked for anythin' better.
Now, you go on and have yourself some fun too!

If you return to Delaila later:

Delaila
Careful with those cups, Auni! They look more delicate than Maize Martingale's ego!

Einar
Greetings, (Player). I have come across a most important question.
Tell me, what does it mean when someone describes a place as "popping"?
Note: There are currently two Air options in this dialogue.

Player
That means it's fun!
Einar
I see. There are many different words for the concept of fun!

Player
What do you think it means?
Einar
"Popping" is synonymous to "bursting"... Does that mean this ceremony is going to explode?

Player
I did see fireworks over there...
Einar
I see, so "popping" is a good kind of explosion!

Player
Probably not.
Einar
If you are not concerned, then I will not be either. Thank you, (Player).

Player
I'm not sure.
Einar
I see... Even you are mystified by its meaning.

Player
... Seriously?
Einar
Is that what it means? "Seriously"? I am afraid I do not understand.

It is seldom that I attend gatherings of this nature, but when I do, I overhear many interesting things.
Learning new words and phrases pleases my Oneness greatly.

If you return to Einar later:

Einar
And yet "cool" does not always mean temperature... Fascinating...

Elouisa
Oh, (Player)! I did not see you there.
I was investigating this door, you see. Awfully suspicious to just be here... locked.
I have not seen anyone go in... or out.

Player
...So?
Elouisa
So? So, a closed door is the most exciting thing in the world! Why, anything could be behind it. You must not take these things for granted, Player.
The clues are all here, we simply need to investigate them!

Player
I think that's the kitchen...
Elouisa
The kitchen... yes! That makes perfect sense! I heard that Eshe's chef Enzo quit recently.
But where did he go, then? Hmmm...

Player
Well now we HAVE to break it down!
Elouisa
Oh, I would not go quite that far... yet. No, we must exhaust all other options before turning to drastic measures.
The clues are all here, we simply need to investigate them!

Player
I'll go ask Eshe.
Elouisa
Oh, yes, I tried that. She told me 'none of your business' and then threatened to kick me out.
Perhaps she does not know either...?

If I uncover the truth tonight, I will be sure to let you know.

If you return to Elouisa later:

Elouisa
Curious... very curious.

Eshe
Why don't you go find your Shepp?

Hassian
... You're here.
The following dialogue may change depending on whether you're romancing Hassian - needs confirmation

Hassian
I had my reservations about you at first, but... I suppose I don't object to you joining our village.
Being an official resident is a responsibility in itself. Do not treat it lightly.

This dialogue confirmed at Friendship Level 3, Romance Level 2

Hassian
I had my reservations about you at first, but... I obviously don't object to you joining our village anymore.
I'm... glad you've taken this step.

If you return to Hassian later:

Hassian
...Kilima is your home now, too.

Hekla
Greetings, Human. I have been anticipating your arrival.
My Jina arose earlier than usual this morning. She insisted it was necessary to "dress up" for tonight's occasion.
Am I "dressed up" appropriately?

Player
You look great, Hekla!
Hekla
Excellent. It pleases me to hear that.

Player
You look the same.
Hekla
I see... It seems I have much yet to learn about proper dress protocols.

I believe it is now time for you to partake in the festivities. I will be here if you wish to seek me out.

If you return to Hekla later:

Hekla
My Jina is enjoying the festivities.

Hodari
Can't even hear m'self think with all this noise...

Player
Isn't it great?
Hodari
Not sure I'd say that.. .but this ain't about me tonight, anyways.

Player
You could join Jel in that corner.
Hodari
Don't think he'd appreciate me stealin' his quiet spot.

Player
I could yell louder to balance things out.
Hodari
...I know you're jokin', but please don't. For my sanity's sake.

Player
Not much of a party person, are you?
Hodari
Never was. Last one I went to was my own wedding, and even that was pushin’ it.

Player
I'm just glad you came.
Hodari
...'Course I did.

Player
Why'd you come?
Hodari
...for you.

If you return to Hodari later:

Hodari
Hm... meat ain't bad. Little overcooked, though.

Jel
Ah... Isn't it much better now?
Player
What is?
Jel
The decorations, now that I've rearranged them to my liking.

Player
You did what?
Jel
You need not look so aghast. They were only minor adjustments–final touches, if you will. I couldn’t help myself. When things are out of place, I just have to put them where they belong.

Player
It looks the same.
Jel
The best changes are unexpected and often subtle, (Player). A lullaby when one expects a symphony.
Do not bother trying to figure out what has changed. That is a secret for my keeping...

Player
Needs at least fifty more flags.
Jel
Flags... but what do they mean, really? A symbol of festivity, or of the Bahari family's unwavering dominion over Kilima?
Yes... flags could certainly be a statement.

Player
Looks nice!
Jel
How keen of you to spot the differences. Yes, I believe the ambience suits you much better now. After all, tonight is about you, is it not?

If you return to Jel later:

Jel
I feel a design inspiration coming on... Please leave me alone with my thoughts.

Jina
Hey, (Player). Sorry I didn't dress up for your big day.
I really wanted to, but I spent so much time trying to decipher some ancient symbols that I kind of forgot...
On the bright side there’s food here, so I didn’t miss dinner!

If you return to Jina later:

Jina
Oh, I didn't know Eshe had the whole collection! Th- there are only five copies of this in existence!

Kenli
Welcome to the Bahari Estate! Isn't it looking particularly grand tonight?
Please, partake of the refreshments and amenities provided!
And, if you begin to feel restless, do not fret. That is completely normal. After all, the best part has yet to come.
... Oh! Did I spoil the surprise?
I'm sorry. Please don't tell Eshe, she'll be furious!

Player
I won't tell Eshe.
Kenli
Really? What a relief! If she asks, just pretend like you didn't know, alright?

Player
I accept bribes.
Kenli
Well, I can tell you right now that the mayor's estate is footing the bill for this whole celebration!

And prepare yourself for the grand finale, (Player)!

If you return to Kenli later:

Kenli
Remember, keep my little slip up between you and me!

Kenyatta
Good, you're here. Which do you think is more expensive, the macarons or the filet mignon?
Player
Why do you ask?
Kenyatta
Trying to decide which one will upset my mom more if I eat twelve of them.

Player
That sounds like a recipe for a stomachache.
Kenyatta
No, that would be my dad's recipe for Marshmallow Surprise. He made it once. Mom still hasn't forgiven him.

Player
Why not... BOTH?
Kenyatta
...I should have asked you sooner. Genius!
Thanks, (Player).

Player
You can probably eat more macarons.
Kenyatta
See, this is why I asked you. You're so right.
Thanks, (Player).

Player
Don't know, but I'll help!
Kenyatta
Deal. I got this table, you go cover another. Oh, and make sure you ask for leftovers!
Thanks, (Player).

If you return to Kenyatta later:

Kenyatta
Twelve... thirteen... no I'm not regretting this. Yet.

Nai'o
(Player)! Congrats on living here! I mean, making it official and everything.
So, hey, quick question. What's a remy-lad?
Player
A what?
Nai'o
Eshe was mentioning some of the food they've got and she said there's roast chapaa with remy-lad.

Player
It's a type of sauce.
Nai'o
Oh! That makes more sense than what I was thinking.

Player
Remy's the name of the guy who makes it.
Nai'o
I thought the Bahari's chef quit?

Player
No idea!
Nai'o
That makes two of us then.

Player
...You mean remoulade?
Nai'o
Yeah, what'd I say?

Anyways, I'd better go grab some before it runs out. Thanks, (Player)!

If you return to Nai'o later:

Nai'o
I've never even heard of half these foods...

Najuma
Oh, um. Hey!
It's cool you're becoming a real part of Kilima.
N-not that you weren't already, it's just... now it's official.

Player
Why are you in here?
Najuma
I just needed a break, and no one's really coming in here.

Player
Want me to grab you some snacks?
Najuma
N-no, I'll make my way outside... eventually. Maybe when everyone goes to the bathroom.

Player
Did your dad make you come?
Najuma
No! I wanted to come! I just didn't realize it'd be so... uhm, busy.

Player
It's so quiet in here...
Najuma
I know. It's nice, right? You can stay too if you want.

C-congrats, by the way. I'm glad you're sticking around.

If you return to Najuma later:

Najuma
That's T-tamala over there, right? I see her around Bahari sometimes, but she never comes into town...

Reth
Well look who it is, Kilima's new favorite person. After me, of course.
Seriously, though, everybody keeps singing your praises, and you're practically glowing. If I wasn't so charming myself, I'd be jealous.

Player
Does that make us rivals?
Reth
You'd have to beat me at the soup game first. You'll never guess my secret ingredient!

Player
It's a little overwhelming.
Reth
Hey, any time you need me to steal the spotlight back, just let me know, yeah?

Player
I definitely win the popularity contest.
Reth
Yeah, well, some people just don't understand my allure. It's hard being this beautiful.

Player
Let's not compare ourselves.
Reth
Oh, and you're reasonable too? Guess I just can't compete...

Anyways, go have some fun. Make sure you stop by the soup table. It's a whole table! Of just soup!

If you return to Reth later:

Reth
Not gonna lie. This party's popping for its size, and it's definitely because of me.

Sifuu
Oh, hey (Player)! I was just checking out some of the art they've got here.
Gotta say, I don't really get it. Just having pictures of places on your wall.
Why not something more impressive, like a battle between two giant beasts?

Player
I like landscapes.
Sifuu
I’d much rather get out and see the place for real!

Player
Or like, two plumehounds howling at the moon.
Sifuu
NOW you're talking!

Player
That sounds awesome!
Sifuu
Maybe I should've gone into art instead of smithing, ha!

Player
Or a fancy portrait.
Sifuu
What do you need a portrait for? If you forget what you look like, get a mirror!

Still, I guess it's better than bare walls. And anyways, it's not MY house!

If you return to Sifuu later:

Sifuu
Oh, congrats on the ceremony by the way! Glad to see you're stickin' around.

Tamala
Why hello, darling. Surprised to see me?
I know I don't usually venture this far from home, especially to places so lively.
But I simply couldn't help myself. I would never miss such a... spectacle.

Player
Aww, thanks.
Tamala
Don't let all the attention go to your head, little lamb. Ego is rarely attractive.

Player
It's a party, not a fire.
Tamala
What's the difference, darling?

Oh, you needn't look like a sernuk caught in the light of a lantern flame. I'm merely pulling your leg.
... Run along now.

If you return to Tamala later:

Tamala
Perhaps I'll stop by Zeki's on my way back home. I'm running low on supplies...

Tau
(Tau gives your hand a big lick. Clearly, this means he's proud of you!)
(Or that you spilled some soup on your hand. On second thought, why not both?)

Tish
Wow... So this is what Acceptance Ceremonies are like in Kilima.
Player
You didn't have yours here?
Tish
Nope. Reth and I are from Bahari City, so we had ours back there.
It was wonderful, but the Duchess didn't exactly rent out her backyard for it! Or even attend, not that I would have expected her to.
But look, EVERYONE is here tonight! And they're all your friends!
Small town life really is so lovely, isn't it?

If you return to Tish later:

Tish
I'm glad you decided to stay in Kilima, (Player). The village is better with you in it.

Zeki
They really pulled out all the stops for ya tonight, huh? Talk about VIP- Very Important Palian!
You even got Tamala to crawl outta the woodwork. Not everyone can pull that off.
Tell me, how'd ya manage to get Eshe on your side?

Player
Bribery.
Zeki
Nice! Nothin' like a bit of good old fashioned bribery between us little folk and elected officials. Actually, was she even elected?

Player
I'm still not sure.
Zeki
Well whatever it was, keep doin' it. Never hurts to make the bigwigs think you're on their side.

Player
Good interior design!
Zeki
Ha! Yeah, I heard you fixed up that old plot. Personally, I liked it trashed. Gave it character, ya know?

Player
A lot of busy work.
Zeki
Ain’t that always the truth. Grind never ends, until they grind ya right up. And even then they don’t stop.

Anyways, I won't keep y'any longer. There's food that needs eating and silverware that needs taking!
Just kiddin' on that last part. Or am I?

If you return to Zeki later:

Zeki
Thought I saw Hodari around here, too. You really ARE popular.

Conclusion

Upon speaking to Eshe

Eshe
Well. You've certainly gathered quite a crowd.
Are you ready for the next part of the ceremony, then?

Player
I'm ready.

Player
I'd like to hang out a little more.
Eshe
I suppose that is acceptable.
Simply come talk to me when you are ready to proceed.

Player
Sorry I'm not ready yet
Eshe
Then why did you come back?

Player
...Sorry, I'm ready now.
Eshe
I knew you would break eventually.
