Cooking 102 is a Skill Quest given by Reth upon reaching Cooking Level 2.

Part 1

• Learn recipe for Standard Stove
• Learn recipe for Prep Station
• Learn recipe for Hearty Vegetable Soup

Part 2

Now that you have the blueprints for the prep kitchen[sic] and stove, it's time to build [sic] at your crafting station and place them in your house.

• Craft and place the stove on your plot.
• Craft and place a prep station on your plot.

Part 3

Now that your stove is ready, let's gather the ingredients for a recipe.

Part 4

Time to cook your first real dish over the stove! Start by chopping your veggies at the prep station.

Walkthrough

1. You're improving with your cooking skills, so go talk to Reth once you reach Cooking Level 2. You will gain access to the Cooking Guild Store to purchase more recipes!
   • He will also feed you a Veggie Soup during this interaction, so don't panic if you randomly happen to gain +100 Focus Points!
2. Reth will encourage you to learn to cook using a stove and prep station. Be sure to purchase the recipes before you head back home. Your goal is to cook a nice bowl of Hearty Vegetable Soup.
   • Buy the Standard Stove Recipe.
   • Buy the Prep Station Recipe.
   • Buy the Hearty Vegetable Soup Recipe.
3. Interact with your Worktable to craft your Standard Stove and Prep Station.
   • Standard Stove takes  12 Stone Brick,  5 Ceramic,  2 Copper Bar
   • Prep Station takes  16 Sapwood Plank,  6 Ceramic,  2 Copper Bar
     • You will need the recipes for Copper Bar and Ceramic to complete this quest. You can purchase these recipes from Hodari upon reaching Mining Level 2.
4. Place your stove and prep station on your plot.
5. Gather ingredients for your soup.
   • Any Vegetable
   • Any Spice
   • Any Mushroom
6. Get cooking!
   • Interact with your stove - or
   • Select Hearty Vegetable Soup and click "Make".
   • Interact with the prep station and select "Make" to start chopping your vegetables.
     • You will automatically collect the chopped vegetable upon successful completion.
   • Go back to the stove and "Add ingredient" ( or )
   • Stirring prompt will start automatically, so hold or to stir.
   • When complete, collect your dish.
   • Refer to Cooking Interface for more detail on the minigames.
7. Successfully cook Hearty Vegetable Soup and show your results to Reth.

So, you're becoming quite the campfire cook. But did you know you can cook things in other receptacles?

And not just because open flames can lead to unfortunate incidents where you accidentally burn down all your sister's freshly carved furniture.

Stoves are also needed in the fine art of crafting soup!

To make the perfect vegetable soup, you'll also need a prep station.

Those veggies aren't going to chop themselves after all, no matter how hard you wish they would.

... Oops, what was I talking about?
