The Stripeshell Snail is a Rare bug in Palia.

Description

“ A snail with such distinctive stripes, that its shell was once used as a currency among the early Majiri. Found along the coast in Bahari Bay. ”

–In-Game Item Description

Not to be confused with the more common Garden Snail, Stripeshell Snails can be differentiated by their dark purple shells. However, because they can spawn both on land and underwater, it can sometimes be difficult to tell the two apart.

How to Obtain

Bug Catching

Stripeshell Snails can be found along the coastline in Bahari Bay, including Coral Shores, Lighthouse Lagoon, Beachcomber Cove, and the Flooded Fortress from 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM.

Behavior

Stripeshell Snails move slowly along the ground until startled by player movement or Smoke Bombs, and will attempt to crawl away before burrowing into the ground. Although Stripeshell Snails are relatively slow, they do not stop moving once alerted, meaning players will need to throw additional Smoke Bombs while they are in motion before they disappear.
